Imposter
“We’ve all been there. You wake up one day, look around at your situation and think “man, I really hope people don’t realize how much of a fraud I am.” That nagging feeling of imposter syndrome is common and can be a nefarious issue if left to fester. It’s also subject of a killer track from Denver-based nu-deathcore outfit Hated, whose debut full-length album Death Effects will be released later this summer. Featuring thick, chunky rhythms buffeted by sharp yet heavy guitar work and abyssal vocal stylings, “Imposter” is the kind of track that effectively serves as a shot across the bow to other bands out there. It’s effectively the band putting their hand on the throat of the scene, letting everyone know they’re here and ready to fuck some shit up.”

Seven
“Unholy fuck, HATED “Seven” comes in with a fucking vengeance! The video makes this song sound like a soundtrack to torture, and I can’t disagree…I guess I like torture? Because I keep hitting replay on this song, enjoying the relentless beatdown of my synapses! The vocals feel like acid searing down my ear canals, the percussion is like an angelic army finally coming down to lay waste to the false prophets and their brainwashed followers who think they’re doing God’s colonial work on earth, and the riffs feel like red-hot lasers shooting out of my eyes. It’s been a while since I heard a song as deliciously violent as HATED “Seven.” It’s their new single off their record Death Effects that’s live on August 22nd via Lost Future Records”
